Liverpool Youth vs Manchester United Youth

It was clear to see from yesterday’s FA Youth Cup match played at Anfield that both Liverpool and their fiercest rivals Manchester United have an abundance of talent in their wings waiting to fill the boots of their boyhood idols.

United have the likes of Paul Pogba and Ravel Morrison, who scored the winner in an ill-disciplined match which the visitors won 3-2, to look forward to in their search for the next David Bekham or Paul Scholes. Liverpool have the talents of Raheem Sterling and captain Conor Coady, who was sent off along with three others, to groom as the next Steven Gerrard or Luiz Suarez.

Sadly, the match was marred by a few United supporters who were ejected from the ground for singing a number of chants mocking the Heysel and Hillsborough disasters.

It’s great to see such rivalry at such a young age and I’m sure both clubs have lots to look forward to in their current youth setup. See highlights of the match on the link below.
