Video: Watch Goldenballs David Beckham score from a corner

Who could ever forget Goldenballs, aka David Beckham, score that wonder-goal from the halfway line against Wimbledon. That goal almost certainly put him on the map and his career took of from there with him becoming football’s greatest advertising billboard from Pepsi to Motorola, and Armani to Adidas. Brand Beckham took football celebrity to another level.

But, in this recent video we see him score directly from a corner in a match involving his club LA Galaxy who beat Chicago Fire in the MLS.

Beckham set up Landon Donovan’s 58th minute opener for the Galaxy, who are now five points clear in the Western Conference, then struck dramatically on 62 minutes after Cristian Nazarith’s equaliser.

Becks said: “I saw the goal keeper going out of the goal and saw a little bit of a gap. So I knew if I put in an area it was either going to get a touch off somebody or go straight in.”

The former England captain was then involved in a scuffle with Chicago’s Yamith Cuesta before players from both sides clashed in stoppage time.

At his age the lad still haz something in his locker. Provide him with a dead-ball situation and Goldenballs will deliver.
